#249. What is Marketing?

“Marketing” has a profound meaning.

It can intentionally make customers select a particular item which we want to sell. It makes people choose our product necessarily. This is a strategy which considers humans’ phycology. Many people have been analysing this area and it will change its form in proportion to the development of technology.

New era creates new customers and it makes marketing change itself.

If we can sell something which we recommended, we will be grad regardless of its price. We can be pleased if the strategy we made succeed intentionally.

The important thing is to be able to explain the reason why we could get the success by using letters. Accidental success has no meaning. Realising intentinally is a real ability.

We tend to be satisfied with the good result which happened to succeed, so that we normally don’t analyse the reason why we could go well.

What will happen next?

It will be difficult to get success stably. On the other hand, we would think we don’t fail any more if we make a mistake and fail something. It enables us to get the better presumption and the possibility of success.

Failure is a necessary medicine.

I can imagine easily, the amount of sales depends on who will sell it.

What is the difference between a good sales person and a bad one?

The people who are good at selling is to implement a strategy and a tactic by getting a exact assumption. They analyse the movement of human mind which makes them make a decision to purchase something.

In addition to this, a good sales man put an more importance on building a trust with customers rather that selling the products, while a bad sales man makes an effort to sell the products without considering customers’ mind. They rely on a selfish strategy and it creates the friction with customers.

How can we do to get the trust with customers?

First of all, we need to make customers feel that we consider them more than making a profit. The top priority is customers. It means thinking customers’ point of view.

It will become a trustworthy relationship. “I can trust what he is saying.”

 

We could say that this moment is also the blending of sellers. If there is no trust between sellers and customers, customers would feel sellers force us to buy the products. Even if the item was excellent, it would not be bought by customers.

Therefore, we should have a priority to make a trust with customers in order to increase profits. We can monetise later if we build the trust.

Fortunately, I could be a witness of a process to build a trust with customers in the previous job. This is a big hint of how to work of mine. However, it will take a certain amount of time to be able to conduct in practice.

Hence, I will start from accumulating something small such as not telling a lie, having a responsibility towards what I said and following every promises which I make with others and myself. Although they seem to be normal, it’s harder than saying.

I will learn about marketing.
